On a lark today I went to beliefnet.com<\/a> and clicked on the Angel of the Day<\/a> feature. Who greeted me but the Guardian Angel of Young Adults.<\/p>\n

I happen to have been thinking a lot lately about the young adult in my house. Louisiana will soon turn 14\u2014a very young<\/em> young adult, but a mini adult nevertheless. These days teenagers have to make adult-type decisions all the time, like whether or not a website is appropriate or trustworthy, for example.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t monitor Louisiana\u2019s computer use the way I used to. In fact, I don\u2019t monitor a lot of areas of her life the way I used to. And I\u2019m pretty sure I can trust her. She is a wonderful girl, and I couldn\u2019t be more proud of her. She\u2019s bound to make mistakes, and I hope I\u2019ve raised her to take responsibility for them and learn from them\u2014and to come to me right away to help make things right!<\/p>\n
