She\u2019s experienced some pretty amazing and wondrous things!<\/em><\/p>\n

But, as I recently discovered, Dana wasn\u2019t always so open about sharing the mysterious ways in her life. In fact, it wasn\u2019t until a divine encounter at her bathroom sink that she decided to share, share, share.<\/em><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s Dana\u2019s story\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve had mysterious \u201cexperiences\u201d my whole life. At an early age, though, I realized that most people DON\u2019T, so I didn\u2019t share them. <\/p>\n

But then something strange happened. I often use an \u201cask and open\u201d technique with the Bible (I\u2019ll ask God a question, randomly open the Bible to a page and there\u2019s my answer). A few years ago, I kept getting \u201cdirected\u201d repeatedly, regardless of the question, to a passage in the Old Testament that indicated I should share my miraculous and wondrous experiences, no matter how small, with others: \u201cWrite the vision; make it plain upon tablets\u201d (Habakkuk 2:2).<\/p>\n

My response to this divine direction was, \u201cNo. No way. Not going to do that. People will think I\u2019m crazy. No. Uh-uh. NO!\u201d But the nudge persisted. Finally, I asked God, \u201cWhy? Why should I do that?\u201d The answer came in the New Testament passage about how much easier it is for those who have seen to believe than for those who have not seen. <\/p>\n

Even with an answer, I continued to resist sharing my stories. Until one day, I was standing at the bathroom sink, and the urge whacked me again. This time, I said out loud, \u201cI DO NOT want to do this. Do You understand me? I DO NOT WANT TO DO THIS!\u201d <\/p>\n

From above and to the left came the response: \u201cYou don\u2019t have to.\u201d<\/p>\n

What? I didn\u2019t have to? You\u2019d think I\u2019d be relieved, happy, even ecstatic to hear this news. I wasn\u2019t. I stood at the bathroom sink as the fundamental truth washed over me\u2013it was my choice; God wasn\u2019t going to make me do anything. In that moment, I was blown away by the overwhelming feeling of love that had accompanied God\u2019s statement.<\/p>\n

I knew without a doubt that God would not love me one iota less if I chose not to do what He\u2019d asked. But the bottom line was this: if you\u2019re pretty sure you know what God\u2019s will is, and you know what your own will is, and you\u2019re going to choose one or the other, you\u2019ve got to figure God\u2019s is better. I mean, you\u2019re you and God is, well, God!<\/p>\n

I chose God\u2019s will. These days, I share my \u201cmysterious ways\u201d with just about everyone. And no one has called me crazy or disowned me yet! In fact, once I started sharing, a funny thing happened. Others started sharing their inexplicable experiences too.<\/p>\n
