\nAll this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: \u201cThe virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel.\u201d
\n\u2014Matthew 1:22-23 NIV<\/strong><\/p>\n

Have you ever wondered why Jesus wasn\u2019t named Immanuel? In Hebrew Immanuel means \u201cGod is with us.\u201d Jesus did not have to bear the name Immanuel because He was God among humankind. This is the message of Christmas: God is with us.<\/p>\n
