Coming home from a wonderful 19-day tour of Australia and New Zealand gave me the post-vacation blues. Jet lag made my body clock feel upside down, and I used the tiredness as an excuse to sit around doing nothing.<\/p>\n

Until a week later, when I saw a Facebook message from Terri, who\u2019d also been on the tour. During the trip, we discovered a shared penchant for silliness\u2014and that we didn\u2019t live far from each other. Had we known each other growing up, we probably would have gotten into trouble together!<\/p>\n

\u201cMary, I so enjoyed meeting you. I can\u2019t wait to meet up again! Here are some of my pictures from the trip,\u201d Terri wrote. Looking at everyone having a good time brought a smile to my face.<\/p>\n

\u201cWow,\u201d I wrote back. \u201cLike Australian kookaburras, we really are birds of a feather!\u201d The more I reflected on the memories of this once-in-a-lifetime trip\u2014seeing God\u2019s handiwork in the scenery, holding a koala and meeting wonderful people\u2014the more my fog lifted. Terri and I made plans to get together. Why let the vacation feeling<\/a> end?<\/p>\n
