And realizes that God is telling us the same thing.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;line-height: 1.4375rem\">I travel a good bit, and my grandchildren like for me to tell them about my trips before I leave. So last Sunday when we had lunch with five of our six grandbabies, I told them about my upcoming trip to Dallas as part of a press junket for the red carpet premiere of <\/span><em style=\"font-size: 1rem;line-height: 1.4375rem\">War Room<\/em><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;line-height: 1.4375rem\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>I showed them the pictures of the historic hotel where I\u2019d be staying and of the huge Majestic Theatre where the red carpet event would be held. Then I said, \u201cGrandmama will be flying on an airplane.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>My four-year-old granddaughter, Ava, said, \u201cI want to go with you!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wish you could, baby, but Grandmama will be working until late at night. Maybe you can go with me on an airplane for another trip.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Her little face turned serious as she looked at me. She said, \u201cBut I can call you if I want to.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSweet girl, you can <em>always <\/em>call Grandmama. Anytime you want to call. Okay?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And then it was as if God whispered, \u201cJust like you can do to Me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m so grateful that no matter where we are and no matter what\u2019s going on in our lives, we can <em>always <\/em>call on our Father with the full assurance that He\u2019s waiting on our call\u2014and His line is never busy.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s even given a 9-1-1 number for us to call in Psalm 91:1-2: <em>He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the <\/em><em>Lord<\/em><em>, \u201c<\/em>He<em> is<\/em><em> my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Over this past year as I\u2019ve read your comments on my posts, I\u2019ve realized that many of you are going through tough circumstances with seemingly unfixable things happening in your lives. I\u2019ve been through some of those times myself, and the one thing I can tell you is that God is faithful. So I thought today might be a good time to share some of those precious promises He\u2019s given us about calling on Him.<\/p>\n<p>Are you in trouble? <em>As for me, I shall call upon God, And the LORD will save me. <\/em>(Psalm 55:16)<\/p>\n<p>Do you need an answer? <em>\u201cCall unto Me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.\u201d<\/em> (Jeremiah 33:3)<\/p>\n<p>Do you need salvation? <em>And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.<\/em> (Acts 2:21) <\/p>\n<p>Do you need reassurance? <em>Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I shall call upon Him as long as I Iive.<\/em> (Psalm 116:2)<\/p>\n<p>Sweet friends, whenever you need to make one of those spiritual 9-1-1 calls, rest in the assurance that God is <em>always <\/em>waiting, and He\u2019ll be sufficient to answer whatever you\u2019re calling Him about. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Michelle Cox reassures her young grandchildren that they can always call her, no matter what.
