You probably know that doing good makes you feel good<\/a>, whether it\u2019s volunteer work or something for a friend. Being the beneficiary of someone else\u2019s good deed also gives you a positive attitude boost, especially a random act of kindness from a stranger. That\u2019s been my experience anyway.<\/p>\n

My family and friends have done more for me than I can recount, and I am definitely grateful. But someone I don\u2019t even know doing something nice for me? It\u2019s uncomplicated and most of all, unexpected. And that\u2019s what makes it some kind of wonderful and so restorative to the spirit, like a moment of grace. Or as Colleen Hughes<\/a> might say, an encounter with an everyday angel.<\/p>\n
